COSY NORTH

RESIDENTIAL

In a coastal village by the sea, you will find this beautiful villa from the 1700s. It was originally used as a carriage house for the villa across the street. Today, these two are separated and what used to be the stables and carriage house, is now a completely renovated, cosy family home.

The result was our PS Kitchen collection, giving the perfect combination of traditional minimalism. Our solution was a 5-meter-long kitchen island crafted in the Italian stone, Pietra Di Fossena, and a placement of the kitchen in the central room of the villa. This same room was originally used as a gateway where horse carriages were driven through. Given that history, it made sense to re-purpose this space as the connecting room for the busy family.

A MINIMALISTIC FRAME

The PS Collection is designed and built op with a classic front frame, in order to achieve a minimalistic design. To achieve this expression, the fronts are designed in such a way that they align with the frame and have straight edges. It creates a light and harmonious expression, with a light degree of detail.

The brass details and brown marble combined with light grey, hand-painted surfaces create a warm and cosy ambiance. From both sides of the kitchen, daylight bursts in from antique double doors and makes the kitchen look light and elegant.

The bathrooms in the house have been designed using unique natural limestone tiles that offer a warm, natural color palette, along with the brushed, smoked oak fronts.

With its nearly 300 years of history and artistic heritage, the current owners decided to carefully remodel the house, focusing on preserving these important elements.

During the renovation, the family of five wanted the kitchen to be the core of their new home. The previous owners having had a small kitchen with less natural light, the new owners wanted a functional space for family gatherings, homework, and cooking.
